About Us

Kudaka Investigations is a full-service, licensed and insured private investigation firm based out of Orange County, CA.  We are dedicated professionals committed to providing a comprehensive investigative support to all of our clients in the corporate and private sectors throughout the state of California.

photoThe founder and owner Maki Kudaka, has an extensive background in the private investigation and legal industry. She was the Vice President of a large private investigations firm based out of San Diego California. She directed and managed all Surveillance, Background and Locate Investigation cases, as well as the office staff, field investigators and sub-contractors.
Prior to her career as a Private Investigator, Ms. Kudaka worked as a Certified Paralegal where she gained the knowledge and experience as an extensive legal researcher.  Being a part of a prestigious law firm in Newport Beach, she worked closely with attorneys preparing pleadings and motions for trials.

Ms. Kudaka graduated with honors from the University of Southern California with a BA in Political Science, and a Minor in East Asian Studies.

In the News

Ms. Kudaka currently serves as the Vice President of Administrative Services of CALI (California Association of Licensed Investigators), the largest and most prestigious private investigator association in the world, with over 1,300 members worldwide.  She was designated as a CPI – Certified Professional Investigator – in 2016.

Ms. Kudaka was elected by her peers in CALI as OC District Director (2015-2016), OC District Governor (2014-2015) and received the “Governor of the Year” award in 2015.

Kudaka Investigations professional associations also include NCISS (National Council of Investigation and Security Services, Inc.), ACFE (Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and CALI (California Association of Licensed Investigators).

Kudaka Investigations is a proud sponsor and an active member of NOCBA (North Orange County Bar Association) and NHBA (Newport Harbor Bar Association), as well as an active member of DIA (Defense Investigators Association), NDIA (National Defender Investigator Association) and NACDL (National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers).
